The Project — 1960s House, South Side Glasgow
This was a full two-bathroom renovation in a 1960s house on the South Side of Glasgow. Like many homes built in that era, the bathrooms hadn’t been properly updated since the house was built — original pipework, old wooden floorboards, walls stripped back to the bare plaster. The whole lot needed to go.
The house had two separate bathrooms — one on the ground floor and one upstairs — which we renovated as a single project. The customer wanted both done properly, not patched up.
Ground Floor Bathroom — Full Bath Suite
The downstairs bathroom got a complete new look. We stripped everything back to the walls, waterproofed, tiled floor to ceiling with large format textured tiles and installed a brand new bath with a fitted panel, a new toilet and an oak-finish vanity unit with integrated basin. Dark grey floor tiles tie the whole room together and give it a modern, clean feel — a significant contrast from the state it was in before.
Upstairs Bathroom — Bath with Shower
Upstairs we fitted an electric shower with a full-height glass screen alongside the bath — same tile scheme throughout to keep both bathrooms feeling consistent. New chrome fittings, new vanity unit, new everything.
