Bought a kitchen from Howdens, Wren, Magnet, IKEA, B&Q or Wickes and need someone to fit it properly? Home Decor Zone installs customer-supplied kitchens across Glasgow on a fixed price, with the plumbing, electrics, tiling and making good handled by the same team. Family-run since 2011, based in the southside, working across the city and surrounding towns.
What our prices include
All prices on this page are labour plus building materials — plaster, plasterboard, pipework and plumbing fittings, electrical cable and accessories, timber, plywood, adhesives, grout, sealants and fixings — and include VAT. Every quote is itemised line by line.
Not included (you buy these, or we can supply and add them to the quote): kitchen units, worktops, appliances, splashback tiles, flooring, sockets and light fittings in a specific finish, paint. A typical Howdens or Wren kitchen with worktops and appliances runs £3,000–£12,000 on top of our price. You get our 10% trade discount at Topps Tiles, B&Q TradePoint, Wholesale Domestic and Victoria Plumbing.

What kitchen fitting in Glasgow includes
- Removal and disposal of the old kitchen
- Assembly and fitting of base units, wall units and tall units, levelled and scribed to Glasgow’s uneven walls and floors
- Worktop fitting — laminate, solid wood, quartz or granite templating arranged
- Sink, tap and dishwasher plumbing; waste and water reconnected
- Electrics for oven, hob, hood and sockets by a qualified electrician, with certificate
- Splashback tiling or panelling, sealing and end panels
- Plastering repairs, decorating and flooring if you want the room finished, not just the units
Kitchen fitting cost in Glasgow
Fitting only, with the kitchen supplied by you, typically costs from £2,500 for a straightforward galley kitchen and typically £3,000–£4,500 for an L-shaped or island kitchen where the sink, hob or sockets move. That covers fitting the units and worktops; plumbing alterations, electrics, tiling, flooring and plastering are itemised separately, so you see exactly what each part costs and only pay for what you need. As a guide from recent Glasgow jobs: units and worktops £2,950, water and waste alterations £450, splashback tiling £450, new laminate flooring £650. Every quote is written and fixed before we start — see our Glasgow labour rates for how it breaks down.

Why use a fitter who also does the plumbing and electrics
Most kitchen fitting problems come from three trades not talking to each other: the joiner finishes, then the plumber finds the sink cabinet is in the wrong place, then the electrician has to cut a finished panel. We do all three in one team, in the right order, on one programme. Tenement kitchens, where the waste runs are fixed and the floors are timber, are our bread and butter — see our tenement renovation page.
If you want more than fitting — new layout, walls removed, full redesign — see kitchen renovation Glasgow or open plan kitchens.

Frequently asked questions
Do you fit IKEA kitchens?
Yes. Metod cabinets are fitted to the rail system as IKEA specifies; we assemble them on site.
Can you fit my kitchen if I haven’t bought it yet?
Yes, and it’s worth talking to us before you order — we’ll check the plan against the room, the waste position and the electrics so nothing needs changing after delivery.
Do I need to remove the old kitchen first?
No, we strip out and dispose of the old kitchen as part of the job.
Do you work in tenements and flats with shared access?
Yes — most of our Glasgow work is in flats. We protect the close and keep to agreed hours.
Which areas do you cover?
Glasgow and the surrounding towns: Paisley, Renfrew, Bearsden, Bishopbriggs, Newton Mearns, Clarkston, Giffnock, East Kilbride, Rutherglen and Cambuslang.
