Fit-only or supply and fit
There are two ways to work with us, and both are priced the same way: in writing, line by line, before anything starts.
- Fit-only. You have bought, or are about to buy, from Howdens, Wren, Magnet, IKEA, B&Q, Wickes or DIY Kitchens. We check the plan against the room before delivery — waste position, electrics, wall and floor levels — then install to the manufacturer’s specification so your warranty stands.
- Supply and fit. Howdens sells to the trade only, so we order on our account and pass the trade pricing on to you. If you prefer Wren or another showroom, we can take the design through to order and delivery on your behalf and schedule the installation around it.
What our kitchen installation includes
- Strip-out and licensed disposal of the existing kitchen
- Assembly and installation of base, wall and tall units, levelled and scribed to the uneven walls and floors typical of Glasgow properties
- Worktops — laminate and solid wood cut and jointed on site; quartz and granite templated and installed by the fabricator to our programme
- Plumbing for sink, tap, dishwasher and washing machine, with waste and supplies altered where the layout changes
- Electrical work for oven, hob, extractor and sockets by a qualified electrician, certified on completion
- Splashback tiling or panelling, end panels, plinths, cornice and sealing

Kitchen fitting cost in Glasgow
With the kitchen supplied by you, installation starts from £2,500 for a straightforward galley layout and is typically £3,000–£4,500 for an L-shaped or island kitchen where the sink, hob or sockets move. That figure covers units and worktops; plumbing alterations, electrics, tiling, flooring and plastering are itemised separately, so you see what each element costs and pay only for what you need. Prices cover labour and all building materials, itemised line by line. The kitchen itself — units, worktops and appliances — is either supplied by you or added to the quote as a separate line; a Howdens or Wren kitchen typically adds £3,000–£12,000.

Why one contract for every trade matters
A kitchen installation involves a joiner, a plumber, an electrician and a tiler, and most problems arise at the hand-offs between them: a sink base set before the waste position is confirmed, a finished panel cut for a late cable, a worktop templated before the units are final. We programme every trade ourselves — first fix, units, worktops, second fix, tiling — on one schedule, so nothing is fitted twice and you deal with one project manager throughout.

Confirm the sink position before you order
The most common cause of unplanned cost in a kitchen fit is a sink drawn in the wrong place. The waste connection enters the wall or floor at one fixed point, and every metre the sink moves away from it adds pipework, fall and access work. In Glasgow tenements and 1930s semis the waste is often cast iron running to a back-court gully, so relocating a sink to the opposite wall can mean lifting floorboards and forming a new run to the stack. We check this at survey — before the order is placed — so the design you pay for is the design that gets fitted.
Tenements, flats and family homes
Most of our Glasgow kitchens are in flats: solid walls, timber floors, long waste runs and high ceilings that suit full-height storage. How it works
- Send us your kitchen plan — a Howdens, Wren or IKEA drawing is fine — with a few photos of the room. If you have not chosen a kitchen yet, tell us the budget and style and we will advise on supply.
- Free site survey, followed by a written fixed-price quote within 48 hours.
- We agree a start date around your delivery. Most installations take 3–5 working days; stone worktops add a templating interval.
- Installed, tested, cleaned and handed over with an electrical certificate and a 12-month workmanship guarantee.

Can you supply the kitchen as well as fit it?
Yes. We order Howdens kitchens through our trade account and pass on the trade pricing, and we can arrange the design and order with Wren or another supplier on your behalf. The kitchen is shown as a separate line on the quote.
Can you fit a kitchen I have already bought?
Yes. Send us the plan and delivery date; we check it against the room and schedule the installation around the delivery.
Should I speak to you before I order?

Do you fit IKEA kitchens?
Yes. Metod cabinets are assembled on site and fitted to the rail system as IKEA specifies.
How long does a kitchen installation take?
Typically 3–5 working days for units, worktops, plumbing and electrics. Tiling, flooring and decoration add a few days; quartz or granite worktops are usually installed 7–10 days after templating.
Do I need to remove the old kitchen first?
No. Strip-out and disposal are part of the job.
